Redeem My Soul (Psalm 49)

Redeem My Soul (Psalm 49) by Jetic

Written based on Psalm 49 by Jetic, A Gospel song.

Lyrics

Verse 1

Tell me why I should I fear in the days of evil, when deceivers shall follow me around?

And though men put their trust in wealth, by any means can they redeem their brother

Redemption of their soul is precious, nor give to God a ransom for him:

That he should not see corruption, and he should go on forever

Under the sun one event happen to them all that all men die leaving everything behind to others

and thought they call their lands after their own names

cuz they think, it will continue to all generations;

Nevertheless, like the beasts that perish are man in honour that abideth not

This their way is their folly, but think yet their posterity approve their sayings

Hook (Repeat 2x)

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave

For he shall receive me and I shall be saved

Verse 2

Be not afraid when one is made wealthy, when the glory of his house is increased

His glory shall not descend after him, For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away

And men will praise you, when thou do well for self, For while he lived he blessed his soul

He shall go to the generation of his fathers, Sadly, they shall never see light

In the grave, Like sheep they're laid and death shall feed on them

And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling

So Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish

So if you ask me what's the ultimate point of life, I'd ultimately say

It's love, It's love, God is Love

I can see the love in your eyes, raising up the broken to life

Hook (Repeat 2x)

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave

For he shall receive me and I shall be saved
